47 CFR Section 73.99 requires
licensees of an AM broadcast station intending to operate with a
pre-sunrise or post-sunset service authorization to submit by
letter the licensee's name, call letters, location, intended
service, and a description of the method whereby any necessary
power reduction will be achieved. Station operations may then being
upon submission of this information. The FCC staff use the letter
to ensure that the licensee's technical information complies with
FCC rules and will not cause interference to other
stations.
