NHTSA proposes to survey drivers ages 16 through 20 in 8 States. The survey will explore the frequency and context of unsafe driver behaviors among this age group, types of risky situations that people of young driver age experience as vehicle passengers, parental influence on young drivers, driver training and education, and young driver attitudes and perceptions concerning selected traffic safety issues.
