Proposed FFY 2013 – FFY 2018 Part B SPP/APR: Directed Questions
OSEP is requesting that commenters respond to the following specific questions regarding the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) (Proposed Indicator 17). Responses to these questions will assist OSEP in providing technical assistance to States as they develop the SSIP and in implementing the SSIP requirement.
What, if any, additional guidance from OSEP would you need in order to develop the proposed State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) as part of your SPP?
What, if any, revisions to the proposed SSIP would be needed, to best support States’ work with their LEAs in improving outcomes for students with disabilities?
What, if any, revisions to the proposed SSIP requirements would be needed so that the SSIP is aligned with other improvement planning going on within the State?
What, if any, aspects of the proposed SSIP requirements would require flexibility for the State to develop a meaningful plan?
What, if any, types of resources, including support from OSEP-funded TA providers, would you need to help develop the proposed SSIP?
What would be the benefit of having peers review the SSIP as part of the OSEP determination process?
What criteria would you recommend that OSEP use to evaluate the proposed SSIP?
