The Census Bureau plans to conduct additional survey work under the generic clearance for Data User Evaluation Surveys (OMB number 0607-0760).
The Census Bureau offers a webinar series intended for the media and the general public on various aspects of foreign trade statistics. The Census Bureau’s Public Affairs and Media Events Branch of the Public Information Office is planning a survey to measure participants’ satisfaction with the Foreign Trade webinar series. The survey will serve as an evaluation tool to obtain metrics and obtain feedback on how to best meet the participants’ needs. The webinar series includes the following topics:
Introduction to Foreign Trade Statistics - Understanding The Basics
Discovering New Markets - An Introduction to USA Trade Online
All Goods Have A Classification Number - Learn How To Find Yours
What Regulations Apply When Exporting Goods Out Of The U.S.?
Filing Shipment Information to Customs Electronically - The Best Practices
How to Use Free Software To File Your Shipment Information to Customs
How To Get It Right The First Time and What To Do If You Don't - Best practices for Penalties
What is a Foreign Trade Zone and How Can It Help You?
From
May through August 2012, for each webinar we will post two surveys –
one before and one after. The prewebinar survey link will be posted
on the website where the participant will register for the webinar.
The link to the postwebinar survey will be sent via email to the
participants. We expect each webinar to have approximately 250 to
500 participants during the survey period.
Public Affairs and Media Events Branch staff have reviewed and internally tested the questionnaires for ease of use and content appropriateness. We estimate respondent burden at five minutes for both questionnaires for each of the 8 webinars for a total respondent burden of 333 hours.
