The Food and Nutrition Services
administers the National School Lunch Program and the School
Breakfast Program as mandated by the National School Lunch Act and
the Child Nutrition Act. Local Educational agencies must post
reports and maintain records documenting compliance with the local
wellness policy requirements.
This is a new information
collection associated with rulemaking for 0584- AE25, Local
Wellness Policy Implementation under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids
Act of 2010. This information collection will increase the OMB
inventory by 241,605 burden hours for public disclosure and
recordkeeping due to program changes to comply with the statutory
requirements in Section 204 of Public Law 111-296.
