NOAA Services about two months ago. We thank you for your generous participation.  

In that survey, you reported saltwater fishing in the past year. The enclosed questionnaire is only about 
recent saltwater fishing trips you may have taken.  Like the previous survey, it is very short. If you have 
not taken any saltwater fishing trips recently, it is still important to complete and return the 
questionnaire.  

This study being conducted for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and is part of an 
effort to learn more about recreational fishing in (State). Your answers will be used to study the impact 
of recreational fishing on natural fishing resources.  

Your participation is voluntary. Your answers are completely confidential and will be used for statistical 
purposes only in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974.
