The purpose of this collection is to
ensure that Classical Swine Fever is not introduced into the United
States. This collection will necessitate the use of several
information collection activities including certification
statements for the importation of pork and pork products, and
swine.
US Code:
7 USC
8301 Name of Law: Animal Health Protection Act of 2002
Even though the number of
respondents decreased from 80 to 15, the number of times each
respondent responds has increased causing an adjustment of +6,030
responses and an increase of +6,030 burden hours. The increase is
the result of these 15 companies importing swine semen more often
and the regions of the EU being classified as CSF-free; therefore
being eligible to export a wider range of products such as fresh
pork.
