The purpose of the Cultural and
Linguistic Competency and Health Literacy Data Collection Checklist
is to increase the number of HRSA-funded programs that have
integrated cultural and linguistic competence and health literacy
into their policies, guidelines, contracts and training. This
checklist is needed to assure that HRSA grantees, serving a highly
diverse patient and student population deliver prevention,
treatment and educational services that yield the highest
attainable outcomes for these populations in keeping with the
Department of Health and Human Services National Standards for
Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
