4040-0001 is composed of
14 ICs. Closing of comments was 6/28/11. Expiration is 6/30/11. The
number and valid substance of comments require review by the OMB
OFFM Grants Policy Committee Research and Related Workgroup. This
workgroup is composed of HHS, NSF, DHS, NASA, DOE, DOD, USDA, and
other research-oriented Federal entities. A formal document
submitted by the Federal Demonstration Partnership (sponsored by
the National Academy of Sciences) requests the elimination and
consolidation of a number of ICs which would substantially reduce
burden on the public. These recommendations have not only
paperwork, but also system implications which must be strongly
considered and requires the time and consideration.

4040-0001 is composed of 14
ICs. There is a strong potential to eliminate a number of these
ICs, consolidate forms, and reduce public burden that must be taken
into consideration. Program increase has resulted from an increase
in the number of ICs developed over the past 3 years.
