In accordance
with 5 CFR 1320, the information collection is approved for three
years. The following additional terms of clearance apply and shall
be completed prior to the resubmission of the collection for
approval: EIA will work directly with collection respondents to
accurately assess the number of respondents, burden hours, and
costs associated with the collection. Section 211(o) of the Clean
Air Act, added through the Energy Policy Act of 2005, set
increasing production requirements for renewable fuels that may
substantively change the number of producers and associated
respondents to this collection.

The EIA-22M survey will collect
monthly data from biodiesel producers regarding biodiesel and
co-product production, feedstocks, and sales. A one-time
supplement, EIA-22S, will collect historical data on biodiesel
production.
