The electronic on-line DS-3035 formatting has been updated to follow the standard Consular Electronic Application Center format, which will host all visa application materials in the future.
To enhance security, the new format includes the addition of a log-on/password function and an online submission function.
A question has also been reworded for clarification. The original question asked applicants "the place and date of first entry into the US on your original J-1 visa". Since some applicants adjust status to J-1 after entering the US, this has proved to be confusing to some. A question has been modified to read "did you originally enter the US on a J-1 visa?”. This will eliminate any confusion on the part of the applicant.
No other changes have been made and burden time remains unchanged.
