The Department's automated recruitment
system, CareerConnector, is used to capture race and national
origin information electronically from an applicant. The data will
be used to help Treasury Bureaus identify barriers to selection and
determine the demographics of the overall applicant pool.
A more accurate accounting of
the number of respondents using CareerConnector and the increase in
the Agencies utilizing this system have increased from 160,000 to
500,000 responses; for a total burden of 41,667 hours. The increase
is attributed to an adjustment in agency estimate.
