Subject: Participate in a training study, earn free CME and an honorarium of up to $300

Dear Dr. _____

Helping patients quit tobacco and reduce or stop risky use of alcohol and other drugs is one of the most meaningful contributions you can make to their health.

Primary care providers are needed to participate in a study to compare the effectiveness of two online CME trainings designed to help you do this more effectively.

You will learn:

  • How to conduct substance use screening with an easy to use and validated substance use screening tool

  • How to deliver targeted and effective brief motivational interventions for tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use

Study participants can earn 2.5 prescribed CME credits (AAFP accredited) and an honorarium up to $300.00 for completing the study. Honorariums will be paid for participating and completing the study..

This study is funded by a contract from the National Institute on Drug Abuse. For more information and to participate in the study please visit [study link].
