This application is the first step to
create a standardize method for requesting and reviewing flights
over Stennis Space Center (SSC). Historically, air requests were
either oral or a written email. There is/was little fidelity as to
who would review the request and who would be notified if the
approval was given. With the creation of AARIN, a public user can
submit a request to fly in or around SSC into an electronic system.
An approval notification is sent to the requestor with a permit
number. Also other SSC required personnel, such as security, fire
department if applicable, is notified of the air traffic in the air
space.
This is an existing collection
that needs a number. No program changes, just general awareness of
the PRA process.
