I am contacting you to request your participation in a brief survey to understand your knowledge
and perceptions of the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument. The National Marine
Fisheries Service (NMFS) contracted with the American Directions Group, Inc. to collect
information for this survey.
You, along with 1,000 other respondents, received a telephone call from a representative at
American Directions Group, Inc., asking you to participate in a brief survey. Results from the
survey will be used by the NMFS to inform future program and policy decisions to develop and
administer the Monument.
Please be assured that you will remain anonymous and all information you provide will be
confidential, under the authority of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and
Management Act (16 USC 1881). Your phone number will never be linked to your answers.
You do not have to participate in this survey. Your help is voluntary, and your decision to
participate or not to participate will have no effect on you. If you have any questions about
