On April 6, 2011, in document FCC
11-54, the Commission released a Further Notice of Proposed
Rulemaking (FNPRM) seeking comment on ways to revise the current
certification process to ensure that potential providers receiving
certification are qualified to provide Internet-based relay service
in compliance with the Commission's rules, and to improve the
Commission's oversight of such providers. The FNPRM contains
potential information collection requirements with respect to the
following four of its proposals. The proposals in the FNPRM apply
to only Internet-based relay providers seeking certification for
eligibility to receive compensation from the telecommunications
relay service (TRS) Fund.
