This collection relates to the
accounting and non-accounting rules that the Commission adopted in
implementation of section 272 if the Communications Act. That
statutory provision and those rules provide one of three
alternative regulatory regimes that potentially govern a Bell
Operating Company(BOC)provision of in-region interLATA (Local
Access and Transport Area)services. Note that a BOC will be subject
to these burdens associated with these rules only in the event it
elects to provide in-region, interLATA services pursuant to the
regime set forth in section 272 and the Commission's implementing
rules.
