DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION ON APPLICANTS
Purpose:
NASA needs to collect ethnicity and racial information to determine if its recruitment efforts are reaching all segments of the country, as required by 5 U.S.C., Section 7201for annual reporting purposes and 42 U.S.C., Section 2000e-16 in compliance with the U.S. Office of Management and Budget’s 1997 Revisions to the Standards for the Classification of Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity. The best means of determining agency progress in this respect is through the production of reports, which assist in identifying deficiencies in hiring and placement and are critical for the Agency in improving these conditions and consequently meeting the requirements.
