Terms of Clearance
In 2008, OMB placed the following Terms of Clearance on this Information Collection Request:
The description under "Your Monthly Earnings" on form SSA-L9790 was modified to specify that the earnings in question are before taxes.
As per the Terms, SSA modified the description under “Your Monthly Earnings” on Form SSA‑L9790 to specify before taxes earnings in 2008 per OMB’s request prior to OMB’s approval. Since OMB requested and approved this change in 2008, we are not including it as a revision in this information collection request.
Revision of the Privacy Act and Paperwork Reduction Act Statements
SSA's Office of the General Counsel is conducting a systematic review of SSA's Privacy Act Statements on agency forms. As a result, SSA is updating the Privacy Act Statement on this form.
