MARAD should work independently with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) over the shortened approval period, to ensure that burden is accounted for appropriately, and, that there is no duplication between this collection and any USCG collections. By August 1, MARAD should update OMB on the status of these discussions. Further, it appears that this collection may be misclassified in ROCIS as a revision (rather than an extension, due to a change in estimates). Upon resubmission, MARAD should verify that the collection is classifed properly.
