Below is a list of information about your data set that we would like to obtain.

Data Set Name

Collection Date – What is the date that the data set was actually collected (specific days if possible)?
3.
Vertical Accuracy – What is the vertical accuracy? (While there is no standard format for this, we prefer
RMSE or FVA. Vertical accuracy as reported in the metadata is fine.)
4.
Data Access – Please provide either a hyperlink to the download mechanism or contact information for an
organization that distributes the data.
5.
Notes – Is there any ancillary information about the data set that may be useful to the user (existence of
coordinating hyperspectral imagery, funding source, etc.)? Please describe.
6.
Vertical Datum – What is the vertical datum (e.g., NAVD88, MSL, etc.)?
7.
Horizontal Accuracy – What is the horizontal accuracy as reported in the metadata?
8.
Horizontal Datum – What horizontal datum is employed (e.g., NAD83, etc.)?
9.
Projection – What is the current projection of the data?
10. Expected completion – If collection is in progress, add expected completion date.
11. Point spacing – What is the average distance between points or the contract spec for point spacing?
12. Owner – Who owns the data?
13. QA – Was quality assurance conducted on this data set?
14. Products Available – What products (points, grids, contours, etc.) are available?
15. Island – Denote specific islands, if necessary.
16. Point of Contact – Supply the point of contact’s position title, agency, and phone number (no names please)
[e.g., GIS specialist, Jackson County Planning Department, (555) 555-0100].
17. Metadata – Are metadata available for this data set?
18. Metadata Link – If online metadata are available online, please provide the hyperlink.
19. Restrictions – Are there any restrictions on distributing this data set?
20. Restriction Type – What are the restrictions on distributing this data set?
21. Shapefile – Please send a shapefile that indicates the boundary of your data set, unless your entire county
is covered (please specify).
