Forms EIA-63A and EIA-63B collect data on the manufacture, shipment, and importation of solar thermal collectors and photovoltaic modules/cells. The data are used by the private sector, the renewable energy industry, the DOE, and other government agencies. Respondents are U.S. companies that manufactured, shipped, and/or imported solar thermal collectors and/or photovoltaic modules and cells; importers, U.S. non-manufacturing offices of foreign companies that ship to the U.S. and companies registered on a U.S. security exchange who ship products to the U.S.. Form EIA-902 is designed to collect information on the domestic geothermal heat pump industry. The economics of geothermal heat pumps have improved in recent years and the pumps more competitive with conventional heating, cooling, and water heating systems. Data collected will be from U.S. geothermal heat pump manufacturers. The data will be disseminated for DOE, the heat pump industry, and the public.
