Form N-1A under the
Securities Act of 1933 and under the Investment Company Act of
1940, registration statement of open- end management investment
companies
Form N-1A is the form used by open-end
management investment companies and insurance company separate
accounts to register under the investment Company Act of 1940 and
to register their securities under the Securities Act of 1933. The
SEC uses the information filed in registration statements to verify
compliance with the federal securities laws.
Currently, the approved annual
hour burden for preparing and filing registration statements on
Form N-1A is 1,248,589 hours. The new estimate of the total annual
hour burden is 1,242,012 hours. The decrease in the total annual
hour burden is 6577 hours. This decrease is due to the staffs
estimates of the time savings that would result from our proposed
amendments. Currently, the approved annual cost burden for
preparing and filing registration statements on Form N-1A is
$88,009,520. The new estimate of the total annual cost burden is
$87,512,470. The decrease in the total annual cost burden is
$497,050. This decrease is due to the staffs estimates of the time
savings that would result from our proposed amendments.
