You recently downloaded a file from the SESTAT data system at The National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (formerly the Division of Science Resources Statistics). In an effort to improve our information and data tools, we are contacting you to ask you to participate in a short feedback survey.

If you are willing to provide feedback, please respond by answering the questions in this email, and/or by providing a phone number and time for us to contact you to talk about your ideas.

This improvement effort is aimed specifically at the Data Tool which provides online access to the datasets in the SESTAT system, located at https://sestat.nsf.gov/sestat/sestat.html. These datasets are the Survey of Doctorate Recipients (SDR), the National Survey of College Graduates (NSCG), the National Survey of Recent College Graduates (NSRCG), and the integrated dataset combining all three surveys (SESTAT).

Please take a few minutes to respond to the questions below. Your feedback is important to us.

  1. Which survey(s) and survey year(s) did you use?

  2. Did the dataset(s) contain the information you were looking for?

  3. Was there information or data you were looking for but did not find? If yes, please explain.

  4. If you were able to find the information you were looking for, how easy or difficult was it to find? Please elaborate.

  5. Did you have any problem using the Data Tool? If yes, please explain.

  6. Do you have suggestions for features or improvements to the tool that would make it easier to use?

  7. Do you plan to use the SESTAT Data Tool again?

  8. If you have general comments or observations, please add them here.

We appreciate your time and effort on this. Please send your email response to us by <DATE>.
