1. The ViCAP logo has been changed on the cover and throughout the form.
2. On Intro Page 1: The “Electronic Submission” paragraph was added.
3. The Table of Contents was updated to itemize each subcategory of main subject sections.
4. The questions were renumbered based on the addition, deletion, and consolidation of data.
5. References to “Unidentified Body” were changed to “Unidentified Human Remains.”
6. References to “Sexual Assaults/Offenses and Attempts” were changed to “Sexual Assaults.”
7. References to “Crime Analysis Report” were changed to “Case Submission Form.”
8. “Case Type” terminology was changed from “Murder” to “Homicide.”
9. The following data elements were deleted: ViCAP report type, ViCAP services, Sexual Assault subcategories, “Unfounded” case status, Death location, Level of force used by the offender, Indications that the offender was operating from a ritual/script/fantasy.
10. The following data elements were added: Q#9) Has this case been linked to the instant case through physical evidence, corroborated confession or conviction?; Q#15e) Victim’s Driver’s License Number(s)/State(s); Q#38f) Offender’s Driver’s License Number(s)/State(s); Q#100i) Vehicle VIN.
