Innovation Program (TIP), of the National Institute of Standards
and Technology (NIST) is to fund transformational high risk, high
reward research in areas of Critical National Need (CNN) Defining a
CNN and the associated societal challenges encompasses the
resources of the NIST/TIP staff, papers and proceedings from
professional and scholarly publications, conferences and
presentations, and input from the scientific community across the
societal challenges associated with a CNN
