2. As you know, public recreation areas cost money to provide. Often the costs of providing these recreation areas are difficult to recognize. But whether you see them clearly or not, you pay these costs. Sometimes there are direct fees for use of recreation areas and other times you may pay indirectly through local, state, and federal taxes, or through changes in prices of certain goods and services. In the end, you and other citizens do pay for these facilities.
