“Hello. My name is . I am conducting a survey of minority recreation visitors to Corps of Engineers projects. We are interested in learning about your outdoor recreation habits and preferences and we would also like to ask for your opinions and preferences of how Corps lakes in general are being managed. Would you be willing to take about ten minutes to answer some questions.”(If yes) “We are trying to get an honest assessment Corps facilities and management style, so please know that all your responses are confidential.”

Category 1: Outdoor Recreation Style

1. What are your favorite forms of outdoor recreation?

2. What is the average size group you bring to the Corps lake when you visit?

3. Do you prefer primitive camping areas or campgrounds with developed facilities and (electrical hookups, toilets, etc)?

4. Do you think that the Corps should preserve wild/undeveloped areas around its lakes possible?

5. What forms of outdoor recreation might you wish to try in the future?
