Maintenance only (proceed to question #17)

Improvement/expansion (proceed to question #18)

Both maintenance and improvement (proceed to question #17)

  1. Maintenance Dredging - If you plan to dredge for the maintenance of existing facilities, such as dredging existing slips, please estimate approximately when and what volume of material you plan to dredge. Any dredging to provide new facilities, such as adding new slips, should not be listed here, because it will be addressed separately in #23 below. For estimating when future maintenance dredging will occur, the next 20 years are broken into 5-year increments. Please estimate in which of those 5-year increments you plan to dredge, and write in the approximate volume(s) you expect to dredge in the appropriate time interval(s). We recognize that there may be significant uncertainty regarding both the volume and the timing of any future dredging, however, please make your best estimate.

  1. Improvement/Expansion Dredging - If you plan to dredge to provide for new facilities or expand existing facilities, please list the approximate volume(s) you expect to dredge in the appropriate time interval(s) shown below. We recognize that there will likely be significant uncertainty regarding this information, however, please make your best estimate.

19. What cost of dredging ($ per cubic yard) would you consider unaffordable. _________$ per cubic yard?

Unaffordable cost may be defined as the breakpoint above which your business could no longer afford to continue dredging to sustain it's current level. Use the comment space below if you wish to define your response differently. This may be a difficult question to answer but any input you can provide would be useful to determine the economic impacts of disposal alternatives on businesses.

Comments: _____________________________________________________________________________

  1. Please enter the expected financial impact on your business of not dredging, starting this year, and continuing through 20XX. Please explain the basis for your estimate in the comment space below.
