President Obama, in a June 4, 2009
address in Cairo, announced that the U.S. would host a Summit on
Entrepreneurship to identify how we can deepen ties between
business leaders, foundations and social entrepreneurs in the
United States and Muslim communities around the world.
In order to hold a
successful summit in conjunction with the White House, OIE needs to
create a form to collect comments and suggestions about the kind of
event attendees and the general public would like to see the
President hold. Given the rapidly approaching time horizon for the
event, it is critical that we quickly secure approval of the form.
This request will provide adequate time to review these comments
and suggestions, and act upon them during the summit planning
process.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
(i) Why the information is being collected;
(ii) Use of information;
(iii) Burden estimate;
(iv) Nature of response (voluntary, required for a
benefit, or mandatory);
(v) Nature and extent of confidentiality; and
(vi) Need to display currently valid OMB control
number;
If you are unable to certify compliance with any of
these provisions, identify the item by leaving the box unchecked
and explain the reason in the Supporting Statement.
