ACE-L3 FOURTH REQUEST
(1-2008)
FROM THE CHIEF,
COMPANY STATISTICS DIVISION
U.S. CENSUS BUREAU
We still have not received your response to the 2007 Annual Capital Expenditures Survey (ACES) form originally mailed to you in March. Title 13 of the United States Code requires that you respond to this survey. If you recently submitted a response, we thank you and ask that you disregard this notice.
It is essential that this survey be completed. As explained in an earlier letter, the data collected on the survey are a key source of information about our country’s economic performance. Business investment in structures and equipment is an important component of the official estimate of Gross Domestic Product. The investment data also help U.S. businesses to identify market opportunity, develop new products and establish strategic plans.
We are enclosing a duplicate form. The ACES survey can also be completed online using Census Taker. To file electronically using this user-friendly application, go to www.census.gov/econhelp/aces.
If book figures are not available, we accept reasonable estimates. If you have questions, need help completing the survey, or need an extension of time for filing, please call 1-800-528-3049. Thank you for your cooperation and your contribution to this survey.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey L. Mayer
