Scholarship Selection Schedule-2008

USDA agencies may select students who meet all tests, grade point averages, citizenship, application, and/or other requirements established by the USDA/1890 National Scholars Program; meet all requirements for enrollment at the 1890 Institution, and meet all deadlines for application to the program according to the timetable below:

1890 Universities send letters to finalists and scholars are selected	February 24	Liaison Send Copy of Letters to NSPM
Final selection of students	February 29 - March 31	Agencies review applications and final offers are made
Acceptances due	April 1	Liaison Officers submit all acceptances to agency NSPM and Agency Coordinators
Confirmation letters and Service Agreements sent to students	April 1	Copies forwarded to NSPM
NSP Orientation Training	July 20-24 (tentative)	All 2008 Scholars required to attend

Note: Applications will be released to agency coordinators only (unless other arrangements are made by the agency coordinators and the Scholars Program Manager).
