The Wool Act Regulations require
accurate disclosure of material information about woold products.
They also require manufacturers and other marketers of covered
products to keep records showing compliance with the Wool Products
Labeling Act. Potential purchasers rely upon disclosed fiber
content and country.....
There is an adjustment from the
prior hours burden estimate of 407,000 hours, for which the
Commission currently has OMB clearance, upward to 440,000 hours.
This 33,000 hour increase is attributable to a rise in the
estimated number of wool products subject to the rules
recordkeeping requirements (from 500,000 products to 600,000).
