Dear Veteran:

About 6 weeks ago we sent you the First Gulf War Digestive Health Study questionnaire. As of today we have not yet received your completed response.

This research project was undertaken to better understand the mechanisms of bowel symptoms in deployed Veterans. It is about you and your colleagues’ health.

I am writing you again because of the significance each questionnaire has to the usefulness of this study. The result of this trial will be meaningful if a large number of Veterans complete this survey, and your response is critical to the success of this study. A large number of Veterans have already returned their questionnaire. It is important that each Veteran in the sample return their questionnaire.
