Appendix G: Debriefing Questions

1. Can you walk me through your thinking on why you marked (a particular QUIS item) especially
low/high? (Do this for several low/high QUIS ratings).
2. How easy or difficult do you feel it was to access the survey? What made it easy or difficult?
3. If we had not mentioned that we would like you to use a computer to complete the survey,
would you have preferred to take the paper survey? Why or why not?

4. What was your reaction when asked to create a user name and password in addition to the
ACS ID key and password provided on the address label?
-How did you feel about being asked for another password verification?
-Why do you think the Census Bureau is asking for this information?
-What do you think will be done with this information?
5. If you had been asked to complete this whole survey at home (approx. 38 minutes), do you
think you would have completed it in one visit, or would you start the survey on one occasion and
then come back later to complete it?
6. If you were to take this survey online, would you use the paper copy of the survey to follow
along as you took the survey?

were not given the option to choose not to create them?
