Respondents answer a series of
questions to the extent necessary for locating relevant information
on Federal benefits. Responses are used by the respondent to
expedite the identification and retrieval of sought after
information and resources pertaining to the benefits sponsored by
the Federal government.
The Department is requesting an
adjustment of 380,091 burden hours (from 191,023 to 571,114). The
increase in burden hours can be attributed to the increased number
of benefits provided on GovBenefits which results in an increased
average time spent on this site (i.e., from 2.5 minutes to 5.5
minutes). These enhancements offer more information to citizens and
more value. The reduction of 21,713 responses results from less
visits to GovBenefits since the last submission to OMB under the
PRA.
