Owners or operators of facilities that
are required under 40 CFR parts 60, 61, or 63 to operate continuous
parameter monitoring systems would comply with the General
Provisions to parts 60, 61, and 63 and maintain records of specific
information needed by EPA to determine if compliance has been
achieved.
The Proposed PS-17 and
Procedure 4 represent a Program Change that would require
generating additional records beyond what is already required under
existing regulations promulgated under Sections 111 and 112 of the
Clean Air Act and codified in 40 CFR parts 60, 61, and 63. The
change in burden would result from the generation and storage of
these additional records. These additional records are needed for
ensuring that affected continuous parameter monitoring systems are
properly operated and maintained and are measuring and recording
good quality data on a continuous basis.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
(i) Why the information is being collected;
(ii) Use of information;
(iii) Burden estimate;
(iv) Nature of response (voluntary, required for a
benefit, or mandatory);
(v) Nature and extent of confidentiality; and
(vi) Need to display currently valid OMB control
number;
If you are unable to certify compliance with any of
