The Visa Office, CA/VO, is submitting a change in burden for collection 1405-0015:
The number of respondents will change to 700,000 (an increase of 225,000 rerspondents).
The burden hours will correspondingly change to 1,400,000 (an increase of 450,000 hours).
The resultant cost burden will change to $238,000,000 (an increase of $765,000,000; $340 x 700,000)
All these changes are a more accurate accounting of the increase in immigrant visa applications in recent years.
The change of form language, item number 30, Part C, is to more accurately reflect the current law dealing with human rights violations.
