Subject: Non-material change to generic clearance, OMB No. 0915-0212

To: Human Resources and Housing Branch

Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, OMB

Through: HHS Reports Clearance Officer

The Health Resources and Services Administration has had approval under OMB No. 0915-0212, Voluntary Partner Surveys to Implement Executive Order 12862 in order to conduct customer satisfaction surveys and focus groups. This OMB control number was assigned on April 1, 1997 for a generic clearance, under which individual projects would be submitted for approval.

The approved activity has not changed over the years in substance or burden hours, and the approval has always been for a generic information collection request (ICR). When ROCIS was implemented in 2006, the system did not recognize that the project had a generic clearance. As a result, the ROCIS system is unable to accept submissions under the generic number. HRSA is requesting a non-substantive change to return this project to the generic status that it has had since the first approval in 1997 and in all subsequent Notices of Action. There are no changes to the burden hours, the number of respondents, or the substance of the approved activity.
