SBA should
consider ways to consolidate these collections and if possible make
them available via web-based forms. These considerations should be
included in the resubmittal of this ICR in three years.

Applicants for SBA-guaranteed
commitment must complete these forms as part of the application
process. SBA uses the information to make informed and proper
credit decisions and to establish the SBIC's eligibility for
leverage and need for funds.
The volume of commitment
applications received has declined in the last three fiscal years -
while the average amount of each commitment application has
increased. The estimated number of commitment applications received
each fiscal year has been revised from 50 to 48 to account for this
modest reduction in level of application.
