The purpose of the current submission
is to request OMB approval of the following data collection efforts
as part of the Exploratory Study of Low-Income Couples'
Decision-Making Processes project: a structured telephone survey
with both partners of 40 low-income couples (i.e. 80 individuals)
followed by an in-home direct observation of each couple engaging
in three decision-making interaction tasks. The goal of the project
is to explore how low-income couples make decisions, specifically
what predicts their decision-making processes and whether and how
these processes are systematically related to the outcomes of their
decisions, especially decisions related to social services funded
by ACF.
