The National Marine Fisheries
Services (NMFS) Marine Mammal Health and Stranding Response
Program will conduct program evaluations of the six NMFS regional
stranding networks: Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Northwest,
Alaska, and Pacific Islands Regions. A survey will be used to
gather data from a cross-section of stranding network participants
in each region. Data will be collected regarding performance,
organizational structure, objectives, and needs of the program. The
information will be used to prioritize and discuss issues of
concern and assist with future program management and
planning.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
