This revision to the ICR under OMB Control Number 1210-0126 is being made to reflect changes to the Annual Funding Notice Requirements that were made by FAB 2009-1. These changes were necessary to implement changes to the funding notice requirement made by the Pension Protection Act of 2006.

On November 28, 2009, the Department published a 60-day PRA notice in the Federal Register. Subsequent to the publication of the notice, the Department issued FAB 2009-1, which revised the ICR. At that time, OMB requested that EBSA amend the November 28 notice to provide the public with an additional 30-day comment period. The Department published the amended notice in the Federal Register on February 17, 2009.

The Department is revising its information collection under OMB Control Number 1210-0126 to reflect the issuance of the FAB at this time. The Department also is requesting an extension of the ICR, which currently is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2009.
