Your household has been selected to take part in a study funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This study is called A Study of Women’s Well Being. It looks at issues in women’s lives and health. The National Opinion Research Center (NORC) will conduct the study. NORC has been conducting research in the public interest for more than 60 years. An interviewer from NORC will contact your household about taking part in this study. A woman in your household may be asked to participate in this study and be interviewed by someone from NORC.

Interviews will be done in the privacy of the participant’s home. Some participants may prefer another place where it is more private. Taking part in this survey is up to each selected person. The decision about whether or not to take part in the study will not help or hurt the woman now or in the future. No one will know if a member of your household participates in this study. The interview will take about 45 minutes to complete. She will receive $20.00 for her time and effort. Everything she tells us will be kept private. Any reports will not identify individuals and will only provide summary information.
