Because public health workers are
usually first responders in various capacities in the event of a
radiological emergency, the need to provide time-sensitive and
consistent communications is vital. Through focus group testing and
survey of public health workers, it is CDC's intent to provide a
final set of communication messages that can be disseminated
through various methods and provide a more consistent platform for
responding to radiological emergencies.
