Wendy -Brian forwarded your email to me. We agree that only a 30-day notice is necessary for Phase II of this study and will waive the 60-day notice. We look forward to discussing the revised package with you.Best,Rachel

Brian, you may remember discussions we had last November about the Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) study for the U.S. Dept. of Educ. (OMB Control Number 1875-0242). OMB approved our proceeding with a Phase I data collection with 10% of the sample to test some procedures that we proposed based on our pretest experience. Once we learned if the new procedures facilitated respondents being able to provide some potentially difficult-to-obtain data, we were to return to OMB for approval of the Phase II data collection plan. Phase I was quite informative, and we've revised the instrument for Phase II in response to what we learned.
As OMB requested, I wanted to give you a heads-up that Department will be sending the revised clearance package to OMB shortly -- probably next week. (Please let me know if I should notify Rachel F. Potter or Brian Matteson). Also, I believe you said that the revised OMB package would need the 30-day public Federal Register notice, but not the 60-day notice. If I'm incorrect about that, please let me know. Thanks. Wendy
