The CRA requires banking agencies to
assess the record of banks and thrifts in helping meet the credit
needs of their entire communities, consistent with safe and sound
operations, and to take this record into account in evaluating
certain applications.
There is no change in burden
for this collection. However, to present the burden more clearly in
OMB's ROCIS system, the FDIC has broken out the collection into two
ICs: one for reporting and recordkeeping (applies to larger banks),
and one for third party disclosure (applies to all banks).
