CIRCUMSTANCES NECESSITATING COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
IRC 6039I requires every policyholder of employer-owned life insurance contracts to file a return showing the number of contracts owned, the total number of employees at the end of the year, the number of such employees insured, and that the policyholder has a valid consent for each insured employee.
A copy of the draft of the temporary regulations is attached.

Periodic meetings are held between IRS personnel and representatives of the American Bar Association, the National Society of Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and other professional groups to discuss tax law and tax forms. During these meetings, there is an opportunity for those attending to make comments regarding Form 8925.
We will publish a notice in the Federal Register in the near future to solicit public comments on this form.
