The Spirit of Service Awards enable
the Corporation to recognize exceptional organizations and program
participants from each of the Corporation's three programs, Senior
Corps, AmeriCorps, Learn and Serve America. The Corporation plans
to continue to utilize specific nomination guidelines for each of
the programs and follow a formal nomination process, which involves
voluntary information collections from non-government inviduals.
Since 2004 the Corporation has honored distinguished individuals
and organizations with the Spirit of Service Awards.

This package for the Spirit of
Service Awards replaces 3045-0091, -0092 and -0093. Perviously, the
Spirit of Service form was clearaed three times under three
separate packages and three OMB numbers - one for AmeriCorps, one
for Learn and Serve, and one for Senior Corps. This collection
streamlines the forms into one informantion collection package
since the same form is used in all programs. There is no change in
burden acorss all three forms (each form had 200 respondents and
600 hours, for a total of 600 respondents and 1,800 hours across
the three forms). When this form is cleared, the other forms will
be discontinued.
