Every Census Bureau worker takes an
oath to protect your answers. If an
employee violates this oath, the penalty is
up to 5 years in prison and/or a $250,000
fine. That’s the law.
Census jobs pay competitive wages and
are close to home. Census employees are
reimbursed for authorized expenses such
as mileage. Qualified applicants can earn
money by working for approximately 5 to
10 weeks in mid-2007 and in early 2008.

requires a wide variety of positions, but
by far most jobs are as census takers. As a
census taker, you may be trained to use a
handheld computer for some operations.

the only two sites in the nation
chosen for this dress rehearsal.

The 2008 Census Dress Rehearsal
questionnaire will arrive at your home
in March of 2008.

All employees will have a Census Bureau
badge. Some Census Bureau employees
will also have a Census Bureau bag or a
handheld computer or both.
